About Projects

How to feel overwhelmed by having too much project ideas

I have different projects planned.

  1. Setup a pi-hole for my household.
  2. Setup a joplin server or perhaps using nextcloud directly, idk yet
  3. Build a furniture for my turntable with record storage. I can't find one already made that match what I want. So, guess I need to create it, but...
  4. ... I need to buy a circular electric saw. I think the Makita SP6000J will be perfect for this task, and for futur projects. And, it cost nearly 400 gold coins. I'm waiting for a good discount.
  5. Setup a home server, only to be a backup. So, something that's not 24/7 running.
  6. Learn to proper use bash
  7. Learn to proper use Powershell for work
  8. Ricing my linux desktop, just for the pleasure
  9. Build a furniture to hold trashcan inside, because I hate seeing those things. I'm stuck with an ugly prototype I made 2 years ago. And need the circular saw too to do a better cut.
  10. And there's smalls other things...
All of those projects are in stand-by. I'm either waiting to have the tools, the materials, the skills, the time, or perhaps, just the motivation. Motivation That's the word. I think that motivation is what refrain me to transform ideas in done projects. So, to motivate myself, I'm going to write.

[Pi-Hole] Pi-hole run on nearly any device and block url that dispense ad on everything that is connected to the local network

Ads. Ads are a nuisance. It wasn't like that some years ago. It was there, somewhere on the page, you could see it, as a banner. It's was quietly sitting here. After some time, ads obtained more place on the web. Before a video on ytb, on top of the website, on the side, at the bottom. After the video, in the middle. You can skip, no, you can skip in twelves seconds, no unskipabble. It's like being force fed by ads. Ads take lot of place, and parasite content. It make content load slower. It use my precious data, my network to be displayed. Since I use Ublock Origin, I can name Raymond Hill directly. It's like, always here. Plus, it can disable javascript in one click.
